This week has been a lot better than the last few weeks. I feel like I can actually manage my homework, I was able to dance well in all my dance classes. I got a lot of just junk out of the way in my "to do" list and it felt good. Kind of like I can control my out-of-control life for once! This sight made me especially happy:
I've been looking for some pots to replant this huge African violet I have. It has outgrown its pot...twice. Last time I re potted it, I only had two extra pots. I gave one to my friend and the other pot was so ugly I just had to keep it for myself. I plan to give the two tiny ones to my visiting teachee people. Anyway, I was buying some oil and a filter for my car and Emma pointed out this country gardening store. We went in just to see if they had any pots. All the pots were half off! It was awesome. I had to stop myself from buying everything in there. I got those four plus the dishes for five bucks!
I loved this week. I spent all Wednesday with Becky and Will and Evie and Emma. We just hung out, helped Becky with her home improvements, and baked. It was so nice to spend some time with my favorite people:) Thanks Becky.
On Thursday I surprised myself and went to the first History Honors Club meeting at Westminster. I had so much fun! I forget that sometimes, social situations aren't all bad. We watched The Big Lebowski and talked about how it represents American culture. Mostly, everyone just drank white Russians and laughed their heads off. I've got to say, I really love all the people in the History program. All the professors and all the students are so nice.
On Saturday I taught my first Beginners Irish dance class with Emma's help. AH! It was so hard to teach basics. I am glad Emma helped me, because I really had no idea what I was doing. I really think it will be fun though, as long as the students don't quit because their teacher is such an idiot:)
Also, snow happened this week. I am not really a huge winter person. I like it well enough, but the first few snows are the most exciting. I liked seeing the huge fluffy flakes in Salt Lake slowly melt into rain as I drove into Utah Valley on my way home from school.
Life is good! You must be an awesome student to be in something that has 'Honors' in the title. Nice work.
