Movie Critics Co.

I love watching movies. More than anything. Even if they are super dumb, they are at least good for a laugh. I often inflict my movie favorites on others. Share the joy, you know? I am not sure where it comes from. Maybe it is just human nature. I mean, who doesn't like sitting down to enjoy a movie? Freaks, that's who. Maybe it is from family environment. From a young age I remember perusing my grandfather's movie shelves (every Disney ever made) and listening to my grandma Smith's recommendations for plays and award-winning movies. And sitting down with the aunts to watch movies and eat good treats. What ever it is, they suck me in deep.

My friends and I inadvertently started a movie-watching tradition at our house years ago. My friends Hailey, Kalley and Brecken and my sisters and I all have become in our own way, amateur movie critics. Haha it is weird. We always find really good stuff and then spend half an hour dissecting the soundtrack, camera angles and shots, lighting, costume, characters and of course plot.

This week I watched a lot of good movies. I mean a lot. I am on spring break yo! So what does a classy girl like myself do on spring (winter) break? Sit at home and watch movies! duh.
Well, I went to the movie theater with a coworker so that wasn't at home...

We saw "This Means War". It was pretty good for a chick flick. But not much more. I liked some of the funny parts...

I watched "Creation" with Emma on our sick day. It was about Charles Darwin. Sooo sad. Keep a box of tissues nearby.

Kath and I watched "The Graduate". You know Mrs. Robinson and everything... I looooved it. So good. I have been meaning to see it for a while.

Brecken, Kath and I watched "The Road to Perdition" which was amazing. I really really liked that one. I would recommend it to everyone. (there were some f words though) We also watched "Sweeny Todd" haha. A blood splattering musical... it was strange, but I enjoyed it.

And as a last note, here is the best scene from the Graduate.
