An Update on How I Updated

So, for my Thanksgiving post that I did a billion years ago I was going to put up some of our pictures of Moab. That way you could see what we actually did over Thanksgiving. But then it was time to write essays, and study for finals and I kind of forgot that I even owned a camera.

So now, a very belated update of our Thanksgiving trip to Moab, in which we hiked, biked, ate, and went to the movie theater almost every day.
Emma and Mom biking up Klondike

Finally some blue sky:)

Emma and I. (not sure what we are doing...)

Our first ride was Klondike, an old favorite. It was nice and warm, but still cool with a November breeze. Pretty much perfect biking weather.

On Thanksgiving Day we hiked Park Avenue

Here we are making the "V" shape of the rock wall above with our hands

It's hard to see, but Emma is holding a rock and aiming for my head.

So there is a story behind this picture... Ten years ago, on Thanksgiving day I was ten and Emma was six. We walked to a frozen pond behind our house on the golf course. We were fascinated by the ice and wanted to see if it could support our weight. Haha, eventually we got too scared of falling in, and just tried to break the ice with rocks. Sounds like a good idea right? Long story short, Emma threw a rock, I stood up at the wrong moment and then we were all running home bawling. I had to get three staples in the back of my head. All through Thanksgiving dinner my hair was all blood encrusted, it was lovely. We decided to re-create the moment since it was the ten year anniversary of my head injury. And now you all know how I got my brain damage... haha just kidding.

We thought this looked like a cracked dinosaur egg

Mom and I gossip about the "Three Gossips" featured behind us

Emma jumped over another puddle... She was on one:)

Yikes

Terrible self-taken picture of the three of us

So that was the trip! My Dad was there too, but he was off doing crazy hard rides with my uncles so he didn't join in many of our silly antics. Kathleen was still away at school. It was a fun trip, but a little sad too. I miss Moab already.

  1. Looks like a fun Thanksgiving. Isn't it nice to have sisters to be goofy with? :) I could handle some shorts weather about now.
