Halloween (Starting with the best obvs:): The Village
Okay, so this one we don't watch every year but I wish we did. So good! The soundtrack is great by itself as well.
Thanksgiving:
So we don't really have a movie for this one so I am putting Lord of the Rings here. If you don't watch the trilogy annually, well, let's just say you aren't living right or something.
Christmas:
There are too many movies for Christmas. We end up watching classics like Elf or Christmas Story a lot but without fail we must watch Muppet's Christmas Carol and A White Christmas. If we aren't singing those cheesy songs, it just isn't Christmas.
Valentines:
Pride and Prejudice. Always. And not the crappy Keirra Knightly version, we go old school dude.
St. Paddy's Day:
Secret of Roan Inish. That or Darby O'Gill and the Little People... but you need a break from that one every now and then:)
Easter:
We don't actually have a Holiday movie for this one either, but usually around Spring we end up watching Emma. I don't mean my sister, I mean the movie. Though watching my sister Emma is probably just as entertaining.
4th of July:
Summer is just too busy to be watching movies, but if we did I wish we watched 1776 the musical every year. Haha then again... maybe I don't wish that.
Well, there you have it. I know I missed some of the big holidays like President's Day or MLKJr day, but it will have to do for now:)
Love you blog, Meg. You nailed it with The Village! I like to watch Hocus Pocus every year too. For us, Lonesome Dove is watched around March every year.
ReplyDeleteaww thanks! I need to rewatch hocus pocus just for fun:)
DeleteI love this!! It's totally what we do. :) Great clips too!
ReplyDeleteI miss you. And I miss watching terrible movies with you:(
