Natsume Yuujinchou

What's that you say? Well, let me explain. It is a Japanese animation series. No! Don't run away from my blog. It isn't that weird! Okay, it is a little strange, but it isn't what you're thinking a.k.a. giant eyes and cutesy bubble pets floating around in pink cotton candy... Sorry, but no, it isn't that kind of anime, as much as I love it.

This show is totally amazing. The plot is basically about a boy who can see monsters and ghosts. It is spooky, funny, and completely heartwarming! It can make my hair stand on end, laugh out out, and make my heart turn to mush. The animation isn't overdone. It is really muted and pretty.

Lately, I've been watching this show over and over because it seems to have the soppy-heart warming stuff I have been craving. I highly recommend it. Open your mind to something new! Here is the best website for viewing instantly:) http://www.animeseason.com/natsume-yuujinchou/

I love to sing this song when I start getting all obsessed with anime! I think it aptly describes what I am feeling:)

  3. Aaah! Natsumeeeeeee! I think you already know of my great love for this story. :) I love how it is sweet and sentimental without ever quite falling into...drippiness. My heart is also mush and I'm crying silently in front of my computer wanting to be a better person at the end of most episodes. Especially the firefly one...and the swallow one...and the snow bunny...and the dew god...and the tree spirit...and the rest of them.
