Happy 10th Anniversary Avatar!

I'm a bit late, but February 21st was the 10th anniversary of my favorite show being aired back in 2005. Admittedly, there were a lot of great shows that started that year, but this one tops the list for me. Unlike the others, I actually watched this in 2005, and didn't binge it on Netflix seven years later.

So, wanna know what show it is? Of course you do:)

Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra have both been such huge parts of my life for so long. A whole decade in fact:) This show made me think differently, about stories, writing, characters, and what a TV show could be.
I don't even know what to say except thank you! Thank you Mike and Bryan, the Korean animation studios, martial arts directors, writing and script teams, sound and music composers, and voice talents! Thanks for making a beautiful story and show!

Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino: Creators of Avatar and the nerds who run my life

This past year has been especially meaningful for me. Not only did I get the important and powerful ending of Korra, but I got to share the original show with my two cousins. These two kids mean a lot to me. It's been a privilege being a part of their childhood. I always wanted to share this show with them, and though I probably started them a bit young, watching it with them has been so much fun. Sharing their enthusiasm and excitement about characters and a show I already love is amazing and it means a lot to me. Hopefully they'll love it just as long!

new favorite pastime?
So thanks kids! Thanks for letting me brainwash you? hahaha Thanks for sharing the show that has made such a big impact in my life, and happy anniversary Avatar!
