Bookworms Unite!

So I really admire Shelly's "question of the day":) First of all it is fun, you get to know what the family thinks about things, you get new ideas, and it is just awesomely clever. I have a question of my own right now. It is nearing summer time and I want something fun to read. I have a huge stack of "heavy" reading I want to do, but before I grind my brain into mush, I want to read something dumb and fun and just easy I guess... So what is your guilty reading pleasure? What is something light and fluffy that just makes you smile? I have been rereading my favorite Young Adult series "Uglies" for the billionth time. LOVE. Love those books. When I was an angst-y teen these books were THE books. They changed my life. Haha, well what little life I had experienced... I still want a hoverboard. It is going to happen someday. And that is fact. Harry Potter will always be there to catch me if something disastrous happens, or if I just need me some Hogwarts:) So, tell me. What do you read when you don't want to think too hard?

  1. My guilty pleasure reading isn't really light or fluffy but it's a series I always turn to when I just want something engaging to read: The Vorkosigan Saga by Lois McMaster Bujold.

  2. Ella Enchanted is my favorite book even though it's for like sixth graders :)

  3. I don't really have a specific book I go to when I'm in that "guilty pleasure" mood. I just go to the library and check out stacks of stupid children's books with terrible synopsis' to read. Occasionally I find a gem amongst them, but mostly they are just average-to-crappy reading material - stuff I would never consider picking up when I actually want to read something...good.

  4. Deb- I just looked those books up and they sound awesome! Next on the list:)

Charly- I too enjoy Ella... though the last time I read it I was dying laughing because I forgot how cheezy it was.

Nicole- Haha I love your idea. Sounds just like you:)
