Valemtimes!

It is almost Valentines Day! I love this holiday. Always have always will, and yet I have never "been in love". When I was little it was so exciting to get all the Valentines ready for school! I just knew my classmates were going to love mine the best and of course I couldn't wait to see what I got:) As I got older, I still had fun giving cheezy cards to my friends and giving my family silly things. It was also a day where I felt like I could dress like a girl. haha so weird. I always hung my usual black up, and put on something goofy. My favorite outfit is still my purple sweater with my long heart necklace and red socks.

My sisters and I also started a tradition a few years back, that we always watch Pride and Prejudice, at least during the month of February. This year we went a little crazy and mapped out each Sunday with a different Jane Austen film and of course we didn't neglect Downton Abbey! That show is AMAZING! I can't believe this season is almost over:(( super sad face! Here is a song for your enjoyment:
In the spirit of Pride and Prejudice:

“I have always seen a great similarity in the turn of our minds. We are each of an unsocial, taciturn disposition, unwilling to speak, unless we expect to say something that will amaze the whole room, and be handed down to posterity with all the éclat of a proverb.” Elizabeth Bennet

This quote gets stuck in my head a lot because it perfectly describes myself. I have a hard time opening up and speaking with people and mostly I believe it is because I want to make sure I am saying something worthwhile. haha Supppper weird, but me. It is also from my favorite scene where Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy first dance!

So happy Valemtimes! As my primary class would say.

  3. I love your enjoyment of Valentines Day.
I've always hated it, until I had kids.
But then I didn't watch a Jane Austen film every year, that is precisely what I've been missing. Everything else is too commercial and fattening.

  5. That quote would be you! At least you don't embarrass yourself like I do by putting your foot in your mouth quite often. Haha I just watched Pride and Prejudice this week too! Along with Sense and Sensibility. Wish I had cable or something. Now I want to watch Downton Abbey!
